Guns N' Roses extend tour into 2017

Guns N' Roses have extended their reunion tour into 2017.

The 'Welcome to the Jungle' hitmakers' manager has revealed the rock band - comprised of singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan - have dates booked well into next year.

He told Atlanta's TV show 'WXIA': "I've been told there is no end date. I've seen plenty of date going into next year, far into next year.

"Everybody's working together to keep a common goal and common direction - keep the machine going."

And their reunion tour hasn't been without its drama.

When Guns N' Roses played at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium over the weekend and local authorities confirmed they had apprehended multiple people, including one woman who was taken into custody for assaulting a police officer.

The New Jersey State Police revealed to New Jersey 101.5 that Kimberly Goodman, 30, was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, while other arrests included 11 for solicitation, nine for disorderly conduct and three for criminal trespassing.

In addition, other offences included open lewdness, resisting arrest, harassment and possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.

Meanwhile, the iconic rock group are favourites to headline the UK's biggest music festival Glastonbury next year.

A spokesperson for William Hill bookmakers, Joe Crilly previously said: "After yet another successful Glastonbury, all thoughts will already be turning towards 2017's festival.

"It's likely that a couple of recently reformed bands - Guns N' Roses and The Stone Roses - may be headlining the Pyramid Stage next summer."
