NewsMarch, 16 Blur to headline Benicassim festival
Blur are the latest headliners for Benicassim 2015. Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree will perform tracks from their new album, The Magic Whip, as well as older hits at the Spanish festival. ¡¡BLUR confirmado!! Blur se une al cartel de … The indie pop quartet will join Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Prodigy, Portishead, and Florence + The Machine to play at the event, which runs from July 16 to 19. Other confirmed acts include Public Enemy, Clean Bandit, Bastille and Mark Ronson. “We can’t wait to see them return to the stage, showing that in Blur’s hands pop is real magic,” the festival’s spokesman said. The Magic Whip, Blur’s first album in 12 years, will be released on April 27. The group are debuting the record with an intimate gig in west London on March 20.
