Katharine McPhee and David Foster are creating memories in their new home this Christmas.

The singer and music producer recently moved into the house they built and they can't wait to make some new Christmas traditions with their two-year-old son Rennie.

"We're gonna be in this new house and we're gonna have new memories to create," Foster told Entertainment Tonight.

The couple have spent a lot of time apart while the composer was working on BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical in Chicago, so they are excited to relax at home together over the holidays.

"I'm living on the East Coast right now, so there's not much time we get together. Geography is splitting us up for now, but come Christmas we'll be back together again," he told People in a separate interview.

The former Smash actress admitted that she goes "crazy with music and decorations" during the festive season and will "never take an opportunity to not celebrate the holidays".

The duo released the second part of their festive album, Christmas Songs, in October.
