The musical career of the Australian singer Tones and I (Toni Watson) started in 2009 when she began recording cover versions of famous compositions and uploading them to YouTube. Later, she had her first experiments with a loop station and performing live, including street performances. At one of these performances, the singer was noticed by a music manager who soon became Toni’s ticket to the world of professional music. The singer’s popularity skyrocketed. In 2019, Tones and I managed to win in four ARIA Music Awards nominations at once, and in 2020 her song “Dance Monkey” became the record holder of the main music chart in Australia by staying on top for 24 weeks. |
