Bandalos Chinos is an Argentine band formed by young men, who had just graduated from high school, in the suburbs of Buenos Aires in 2009. The band’s slightly strange name is the result of a mistake that took place during one of their first performances. They were announced as “los chicos” (the boys), but they misunderstood it as “los chinos” (the Chinese), that first resulted in “Banda los chinos” and then was transformed into “Bandalos Chinos”. The band plays indie pop music and has received Latin Grammy Award and Gardel Award nominations. |
