Pixies are an American alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts. The original lineup consisted of Black Francis (Charles Thompson IV), Joey Santiago, Kim Deal and David Lovering, and the band released albums including Surfer Rosa (1988), Doolittle (1989), Bossanova (1990) and Trompe le Monde (1991) before disbanding in 1993 and reuniting in 2004. Their album Bossanova features a cover of “Qué Será, Será (Whatever Will Be, Will Be), originally written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans and introduced by Doris Day in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1956 film The Man Who Knew Too Much.
