AIDAN is the stage name of Maltese singer-songwriter Aidan Cassar, who was born in Żejtun on 17 December 1999. He first drew broad attention in Malta’s national selection for Eurovision in 2018, when Dai Laga finished fourth, and in 2022 Ritmu placed second in the final. In 2021, the video for Naħseb Fik won Best Music Video at the Lovin Malta Social Media Awards, and his catalogue later expanded with the album This is Aidan and the EP Wild, Wild, Wild. In 2026, AIDAN won Malta’s national Eurovision selection with Bella; the song’s lyrics combine English, Maltese and Italian, and it became Malta’s first Eurovision entry since 2000 to feature Maltese in the lyrics. |
