Pete Parkkonen is a Finnish singer from Pihtipudas who first came to wider public attention through the Finnish version of Idols in 2008, where he finished third. His debut album First Album was released in 2009, reached number one on the Finnish albums chart, and went gold. After two English-language releases, Parkkonen shifted toward Finnish-language pop and established himself as a recognizable name on the Finnish music scene.
