Mitski is an American singer-songwriter who was born in Japan and spent much of her childhood moving between countries. She made her first two albums, Lush and Retired from Sad, New Career in Business, while studying composition at Purchase College. Bury Me at Makeout Creek and Puberty 2 brought her a much wider audience, pairing intimate songwriting with everything from sparse arrangements to distorted guitars. In 2023, My Love Mine All Mine became her biggest crossover success. |
