Tribalistas is the Brazilian trio of Marisa Monte, Arnaldo Antunes and Carlinhos Brown. The project came together almost by accident in 2001, when the three met at Brown’s studio in Salvador, Brazil, for a single recording session and ended up spending another week writing and developing ideas together. By the end of that week, they had around twenty songs and works in progress. Their first album, Tribalistas, was released in 2002 and included Já Sei Namorar and Velha Infância. Fifteen years later, they reunited for a second self-titled album and later toured together for the first time. |
