Eric Clapton was born on March 30, 1945, in Ripley, Surrey. Clapton became one of the most popular musicians of the rock era. His style changed from album to album, while still remaining grounded in the blues. In 1993 Clapton won the Grammy Award for three of the most prestigious nominations: Album of the Year (MTV Unplugged), Song of the Year (Tears In Heaven) and Record of the Year (Tears In Heaven). |
