Julieta Venegas Percevault is a Mexican performer and composer. She was born in 1970 in San Diego, California. She plays the guitar, keyboard, and accordion. She has won two Latin Grammys and one Grammy. Julieta’s parents encouraged her to play the piano and cello, and to learn music theory ever since she was very young. Later on, her enthusiasm developed into something bigger. Before her solo career started in 1996, she worked with several groups in Tijuana and Mexico City.
