La oreja de Van Gogh is a Spanish band from San Sebastian that was formed in 1996 by guitarist Pablo Benegas, keyboard player Xabi San Martín, bass guitarist Álvaro Fuentes Ibarz, drummer Haritz Garde, and vocalist Amaia Montero. Amaia left the group in 2007 to start a solo career and, in 2008, her place was taken by Leire Martínez Ochoa. The band is considered one of the best Spanish speaking bands and is quite popular in the US, Europe, and Latin America. |
