Alsou was born on June 27, 1983, in Bugulma, a Tatar town. Alsou became popular in Russia in 1998 right after her single Zimniy Son (“Winter Dream”) was released. In 2000 she came 2nd in the Eurovision Song Contest, with her song Solo, sung in English. |
