Stella Mwangi is a Norwegian singer of Kenyan origin. She sings pop, rap and soul. Stella has composed soundtracks for famous movies (among them, Save the Last Dance). She is well-known outside Norway, too, with her songs regularly appearing in the top African charts. Taking part in and winning the national Melodi Grand Prix contest in 2011 has led to her representing Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest in Germany. The song composed for the contest has lyrics in two languages: English and Swahili, Stella’s mother tongue. |
