Lady Gaga is the stage name of the US star Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. In 2006, after borrowing an alias from Queen’s Radio Ga-Ga, the singer confidently entered the New York musical world with songs such as “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich” and “Dirty Ice Cream”, both of which later became worldwide club hits. Lady Gaga’s appeal is not only down to her music but also her shocking behaviour. The way she behaves and her exotic outfits make her the centre of critical and media attention wherever she goes. In autumn 2010 Lady Gaga broke MTV Video Music Awards’ record by winning in 8 categories out of 13 and became the first musician whose music videos got over a billion views on YouTube.
