The German singer Roman Lob was born on 2 July 1990 in Düsseldorf. He was into music even as a child: first he sang in the choir of the church where his grandfather played the organ, then in 2005 he and his friends formed a band called “Painful Poison” in which he was the drummer. Later, Roman Lob took part in the TV talent show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” where his performances made him the audience’s favorite, but unfortunately poor health forced him to quit the show. In spite of that Roman decided to continue with his musical career and he joined an alternative rock band called “Rooftop Kingdom”. In 2012 Roman won in the TV show “Unser Star für Baku” and so was chosen to represent Germany at Eurovision 2012.
