Pastora Soler (real name Pilar Sánchez Luque) was born on September 27, 1978 in Coria del Río, Spain. Pastora has been keen on flamenco and pop music ever since she was small. At sixteen she signed her first professional contract with a record company and released her debut album, Nuestras Coplas. In 2011 her album, 15 Años, was awarded the Latin Grammy as one of the best flamenco albums. Following the results of a poll held on Spain’s main TV channel TVE Pastora Soler is to represent her country at the Eurovision 2012 song contest. |
