Loreen is the stage name of a Swedish singer of Berber-Moroccan descent, Lorine Zineb Noka Talhaoui. In 2004, Loreen took part in Idol, a popular music show, where she finished fourth. The singer released her first single, The Snake, with the group Rob’n’Raz in 2005. Despite high expectations, the single failed to gain popular approval and become famous in the country. It was only seven years later that Loreen, with the song Euphoria, was ranked first in the national hit parade. With this song, the singer won the Melodifestivalen-2012 competition and was chosen to represent Sweden at Eurovision in Baku. Then she won, and 11 years later, in an attempt to repeat the old success, Loreen sang on the Eurovision stage in Liverpool again. |
