Juan Fernando Fonseca, better known as just Fonseca, is a Colombian singer and composer who achieved world fame. Fonseca works in the so-called tropipop genre (tropical pop music) which originates from the musical traditions of Caribbean Region of Colombia, well-seasoned with influences from the music of other cultures, such as salsa, merengue, pop and rock. In 2012 Fonseca was nominated for Best Tropical Song and Best Tropical Fusion Album in the Latin Grammy Awards. |
