The professional career of the Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen began in 2007 after she managed to make a statement in the fifth season of Canadian Idol and got into the final. The singer’s debut album, Tug of War, came into being in Autumn 2008. Three years later Carly Rae Jepsen released a new single, Call Me Maybe, which was later included in her next studio album and made her music popular way beyond the borders of her native country. The single easily reached the top part of the Canadian Hot 100, topped the UK Singles Chart, and conquered Billboard’s Songs of Summer 2012. |
