British singer Birdy (nee Jasmine van den Bogaerde) was born on May 15th, 1996. At the age of 7 she started playing piano, at 8 writing her own songs, and at 12 won the talent contest Open Mic UK. According to the singer herself, her victory in the contest determined her future path. The singer released her first single in 2009 and her debut album in 2011. The latter claimed the 13th place in UK charts and reached number 1 in Austria, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The core of the singer’s repertoire is cover versions of well-known songs. |
