In 2002, a newly formed Spanish music band Xemá released its first album, Del Interior, which, contrary to expectations, failed to impress the public. Disappointed with the unsuccessful debut, some of the members soon left the band, but not only did it continue to exist and acquired new members a year later, it also adopted a new name, El Sueño de Morfeo. Having toured over 100 Spanish cities and completed a promo tour in Latin America in 2005, El Sueño de Morfeo finally won the audience’s heart. The band enjoyed a successful life in the music world ever since and released many hit songs. El Sueño de Morfeo won the bid to represent Spain at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö.
