It took Martin Nievera less than half a year for his debut album to reach platinum status - the album was released in 1982 as "Take One". After seventeen years, during which Martin actively pursued a solo career, "Forever", one of his most sincere albums, was born and that album made Martin Nievera’s name known in many corners of the world. All songs from the disc were dedicated to the singer’s ex-wife and meant to bring her back, but, regardless of expectations, this family reunion attempt was not successful. Thousands of fans, amazed by Martin’s openness, in mere days made "Forever" the second highest best-selling album in Philippines history. |
