Brief information
|
Amy Winehouse became the first British singer whose album received as many as 5 Grammy awards at once. Back to Black, which elevated Winehouse to world fame, was released in 2006 and 5 years later was named the most successful album of the early 21st century in the singer’s native land. Yet 2011 saw Amy Winehouse pass away. Her name became yet another addition to the so-called 27 Club, that is, a list of musicians who made a great contribution to the formation and development of world music and died aged 27 under tragic and sometimes rather bizarre circumstances. |
