The duo The Common Linnets was created specially for the Eurovision 2014 song contest. The band is made up of popular Dutch artists Ilse de Lange and Waylon. Their track Calm after the Storm, which became the Netherlands’ bid for the Copenhagen contest, rocketed to the top of the Dutch iTunes within just a handful of days after its release and made it to the hit charts of Estonia, Latvia, Israel, Belgium, and Norway. |
