In 2014, a music ensemble consisting of the famous trio The Shin and young singer Mariko Ebralidze came to represent Georgia in the international Eurovision Song Contest. The Shin was formed in 1998, and despite the fact that its members have been living and working in Germany for a while now, to this day the trio continues being the most well-known jazz band in Georgia. Together with Mariko, who has extensive experience in both solo and collaborative performances with jazz stars, The Shin won the national selection round for Eurovision and released their joint music clip for their contest song — “Three Minutes to Earth” — in March, 2014. |
