American singer Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins III, better known to the world as Aloe Blacc, was born on January 7, 1979, in a family originating from Panama. At the age of 16, the musician joined the band Emanon and consequently recorded five albums with it. In 2006, Aloe Blacc released his debut record, whose tracks were very different from his usual hip-hop, instead displaying a mix of various music styles: Latin music, RnB, and neo soul. His career in the music industry often intersects rather successfully with the work of other popular artists. Thus, the song “Wake Me Up” by Swedish DJ Avicii, in which Aloe Blacc took on the role of the vocalist, managed to reach the top of the music charts in 103 countries. |
