Russian singer Polina Gagarina became widely known after her victory in the TV show, Star Factory 2 in 2003. Despite the success, Polina chose to discontinue her contract with the Factory producer Max Fadeev and made up her mind to work on a career independently from the other show participants. A solo journey to fame turned out to be a tough one for the singer and took her quite a while, but once the hard times were over, Polina Gagarina was able to present the public with a few full-length studio albums. Many of her songs received high acclaim at prestigious music awards and were among the winners at Russia’s Pesnya Goda (“Song of the Year”) festival. In 2015 the singer was chosen to represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. |
