In 1991 a Swedish music band called Reality acquired a new name, Pain of Salvation, and started its journey to fame as one of the country’s metal bands. Six years later the band recorded a debut studio album, but released it for its Asian audience only. The record was later released in Europe in 1999. By that time European music lovers already knew Pain of Salvation thanks to its second album, One Hour by the Concrete Lake. Over the years, the band’s composition changed a number of times, the only all-time bandmate being its founder and leader, Daniel Gildenlöw.
