Brief information

Natalie Renée McIntyre, a young Ohio student unhappy with her squeaky voice ever since her childhood, could hardly imagine that a song she once wrote for her friend would become a starting point in her music career. Natalie’s journey to the first studio album took her a few years and saw her work as a checkout girl in Beverly Hills, master a jazz café stage in Los Angeles, and write a whole lot of songs for herself and other artists. The singer took a stage name, Macy Gray, and in 1999 released her debut album. Some tracks from this record, such as I Try, Still, and Why Didn’t You Call Me became her all-time signature songs all over the world. |
