Gackt is probably one of the Japanese musicians best known outside his home country. He made a big breakthrough in 1995 when he started singing in the visual kei band, Malice Mizer. Four years later Gackt went solo and made up a band named GACKTJOB. Gackt’s music is an amalgam of various genres and styles, and each performance is a spectacularly choreographed theatrical show, offering a mixture of traditionally Japanese and European elements. |
