For the first time in the 60-year-long history of the Eurovision Song Contest, there is an Australian bid invited to compete. The SBS broadcasting company chose Guy Sebastian who is a well-known singer in Australia. An experienced artist, Guy has been a success on both sides of the stage, as a competitor and as a judge: in 2003 he won Australian Idol and in 2010 and 2012 he was in The X Factor Australia judging panel. |
