The national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 1995 helped Swedish singer Jessica Pilnäs attract musical producers’ attention, marking the beginning of her professional career. However, Jessica’s debut album was released only five years later. Even though the album received critical acclaim both at her home and abroad, Jessica was not satisfied with her achievements, and decided to change career. She chose medicine, and by 2010 she had received her medical degree. Nevertheless, Jessica’s husband, a guitarist and a songwriter, tried to talk her into singing again, and a year later after graduating from the university Jessica finally released her second effort, followed by a Peggy Lee tribute album a year later.
