Singer Andrés Calamaro, whose musical career spans many years, is rightfully considered an Argentinian rock icon. Having achieved fame at his home country first as a member of Los Abuelos de la Nada and later as a solo artist, Andrés set out to conquer the faraway Europe. In Spain he formed, together with a friend, the group Los Rodríguez, whose songs put their names on the list of popular and sought-after Latin rock artists for years. Working with groups never prevented Andrés from releasing his solo records, one of which earned him a Latin Grammy in 2008 in the Best Rock Solo Vocal Album category. |
