Francesco Gabbani first appeared in the lineup of Italian music TV channels as part of the band Trikobalto. In 2016, already as a solo performer, he secured a place on the pedestal as the winner of the Newcomers’ section of that year’s Sanremo Festival. A year later, Francesco participated in the Festival once again, this time taking the first place in the Big Artists section, a competition of already established performers. This victory secured his path to represent Italy in the international contest of Eurovision-2017. |
