Brief information

In late 1974 German singer and producer Frank Farian conducted a musical experiment when he released the song “Baby Do You Wanna Bump?” under the name Boney M. It was based on a Jamaican melody, but its vocals – both male and female – were Frank’s. The song was a smash hit, and it was decided to invite real singers to continue work in the same vein. Thus was born one of the most popular disco bands of the late twentieth century. |
