Denmark’s choice to represent the country in the 2019 Eurovision contest is Leonora (Leonora Colmor Jepsen), an aspiring singer from Hellerup, a suburb of Copenhagen. In her home country, many people know her as an athlete: she was the winner of the junior figure skating championship among singles, and she is also the national champion in pairs competition, where she skated with her brother. By the time Leonora was picked to participate in the Eurovision contest, she had already retired from competitive figure skating to become a coach, while she decided to turn her love of music into her primary career. |
