Duhamel rubbishes Fergie Peas story

Josh Duhamel has slammed stories claiming that he is persuading his wife Fergie to distance herself from the Black Eyed Peas.

The Transformers star denied Radar Online's report, which alleged that he is "pushing hard" for the singer to break away from the hip-hop group, and especially from frontman Will.i.am.

He wrote on his Facebook page: "Don't believe this bulls***. Not true," with a link to the story.

Fergie, who gave birth to the couple's son Axl last August, revealed that motherhood has taken top priority over music, but said she has been thinking of a new solo album. Will.i.am would take on producing duties after she signed up with his Interscope spin-off label, I Am Music.

"It was time for me to get a little break and have my kid," she told Ryan Seacrest in November.

The music star, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, added: "I've been just in my little creative cave and the ideas come when they come and that's the beauty of it. It's so not forced so when I do come out with my album, I'm going to be really proud of it."

Fergie's debut solo album, The Dutchess, featuring top 10 hits such as London Bridge, Big Girls Don't Cry and Glamorous, was released in 2006.
