Saturdays working on new album

The Saturdays have quashed rumours they are splitting by revealing they have started work on a new album.

The girl group - Una Foden, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford and Vanessa White - told This Morning host Ruth Langsford that work is already under way on their sixth record.

"We're still plugging at it, we are. We're actually doing another album - we've got another coming out after the Greatest Hits, so it's definitely not the last, we've got plenty more to come," Una said, without providing further details.

The group have released their best of album, titled Finest Selection: The Greatest Hits, and their Greatest Hits Live! tour kicks off in September. There had been speculation that they were breaking up since the announcement of the compilation.

The Saturdays also said they don't like the idea of their shows being captured on smartphones.

Frankie said: "I wonder, 'Are you actually watching the show?' It feels really strange to perform to that now."

Her bandmate Una added: "There is always a camera around on mobile phones and everything. You look down and there's literally everyone's phones in the air - so if you make a mistake, someone's got it!"
