NewsAugust, 13 Monkeys up for AIM Indie awardsArctic Monkeys and London Grammar are leading the field at the AIM Independent Music Awards. The Monkeys are up for two key gongs while London Grammar have the most nods overall, with four. Alex Turner and co are up for Independent Track Of The Year for their song Do I Wanna Know? and their 2013 record AM is in the running for Independent Album Of The Year. For the album gong they will be up against the likes of London Grammar's If You Wait, Gruff Rhys' American Interior and Kate Tempest's Everybody Down. Other categories include Independent Video Of The Year, which will see Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip's You Will See Me take on acts including James and Royal Canoe. The nominees for Independent Breakthrough Of The Year are Courtney Barnett, Future Islands, London Grammar, Sohn and Young Fathers. Electronic pop trio London Grammar are also up for Independent Track Of The Year and Best Live Act. The AIM Independent Music Awards will be held in London on September 2.
