Zayn Malik definitely WON’T be on this year’s X Factor judging panel
We have no idea what’s going on with this year’s X Factor judging panel, but one thing’s for sure – Zayn Malik definitely won’t be sitting alongside his boss Simon Cowell. The former One Direction hunk, who left the band to enjoy life as a “normal 22-year-old” has confirmed he won’t be sitting in the judges seat this year, despite enormous speculation over the weekend.
Sadly, the reports are nothing more than: “A complete fabrication,” according to his reps who probably know what they’re on about more than the weekend’s tabloids.
“Zayn’s been told he’d make a great judge and it’s him rather than Louis fans really want,” a show insider told those reliable folk at the Daily Star. “Louis and the other boys will be touring next year, too.”
With One Direction resuming with their On The Road Again world tour, which continues in Cardiff on June 5 after a brief break, the chances of wither Louis, Liam, Harry or Niall plucking a star from obscurity to become the next X Factor champ is nearer to impossible than highly unlikely.
Favourite to join Cowell seems to be Radio One DJ Nick Grimshaw. Despite turning listeners off his Breakfast show, various reports have suggested the 30-year-old hipster will be bring a fresh new approach to the show after ratings have continued to plummet year on year. Although, following the news Radio One’s breakfast show hit a 12-year low, perhaps Grimmy’s not the hot property Syco boss Simon is looking for.
