Dolly Parton in talks to pose for Playboy to mark her 75th birthday

Dolly Parton has revealed she plans to celebrate turning 75 in style, saying she is in talks to pose for Playboy magazine.

The music legend, who will celebrate the landmark birthday in January, previously appeared on the cover of the publication at the height of her fame in 1978.

Parton said in a recent interview on the Scott Mills & Chris Stark Show on Radio 5 Live the shoot would have to be "in good taste".

Asked about the possibility of doing a shoot, she said: "Yeah, I just might do it. If I can do it in good taste and we'll do it along with a really good interview inside. So, yeah, we've talked about it."

It’s not the first time the Jolene singer has spoken of the possibility of posing for Playboy again.

She told 60 Minutes Australia earlier this year: "I don’t plan to retire. I just turned 74 and I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again.

“See I did Playboy magazine years ago and I thought it’d be such a hoot if they’ll go for it — I don’t know if they will — if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75.”

She famously wore a black outfit with the famous bunny ears on the cover in the late 70s at the age of 32.

Asked if she'd wear the same outfit on the new cover, she responded: "Maybe! I could probably use it. Boobs are still the same.”

The musician recently released her 47th studio album, A Holly Dolly Christmas.

The festive release features a cover of Mariah Carey classic All I Want For Christmas Is You in a duet with Jimmy Fallon.

The album also features collaborations with Miley Cyrus, Michael Bublé and Willie Nelson.
