Tina Knowles breaks silence after liking negative post about Janet Jackson

Tina Knowles has broken her silence after liking a negative post about Janet Jackson.

Beyoncé's mother took to Instagram on Tuesday night to explain why she liked a post which criticising the price of Janet's concert tickets.

"What a joke....they add $1000 (£780) for a 15 second meet & greet again," the post read. "No front row for fans unless you want to bend over so they can continue to rake in the cash."

It continued, "You want Beyoncé prices, have real production. Just disgusted. I'm not the only one...oh the DMs I'm getting. Way to thank your fans for years of support."

In a new Instagram reel, Tina, 70, explained that she had liked the post without reading it properly.

"I am saddened by this. Janet Jackson is an icon and I would never question another artist," the businesswoman captioned her video. "I took Destiny's Child to see Janet when they were 15 years old. They always looked up to her and she opened doors for Beyoncé. Why would I hate on her."

"I know now not to be in a rush and to be very careful. (I learned my lesson) ! Especially when I have so much going on.. I just wanted to clarify," she continued. "I do know that you can see people's likes so I would be pretty dumb to do that."

In the video, Tina added that she would "never criticise another artist, let alone Janet Jackson who is the queen of production..."

Janet, 57, is in the middle of her first tour in four years, Janet Jackson: Together Again.

The 84-date tour kicked off on 14 April last year and will conclude on 30 July.
