NewsNovember, 22 Miley Cyrus has doubts about her song Used to Be YoungMiley Cyrus has revealed that she has had second thoughts about her song Used to Be Young. The Grammy-winning artist has revealed that if she had a second chance, she might not release her 2023 hit. In a recent cover story for Harper's Bazaar, Miley explained that she recently listened to the emotional ballad, in which she reflects on the judgement she faced as a young star. "I actually listened to that song yesterday, and I was asking myself, Did I really need to put this out?" the 31-year-old said. "It was one of those things that maybe now that I'm a bit more private, I would've kept private, but I'm happy to have shared it." Miley added, "It just feels like a song that's so personal that it's hard for people to relate." The Flowers hitmaker went on to reveal that her godmother, country music legend Dolly Parton, was also apprehensive about the message of the song. "She goes, 'I don't know if I like that new Used to Be Young song because it's not fair that you're singing about not being young when you're young and beautiful. And here I am - I'm like 80 - and I'm like, That should have been my song!'" Miley told the publication. Despite Miley's doubts, Used to Be Young was a commercial success, debuting at number eight on America's Billboard Hot 100.
