NewsNovember, 10 Chappell Roan splits with managementChappell Roan has split with her management team at State of the Art (SOTA). The news comes after the pop star scored her first bunch of Grammy nominations, including nods in each of the Big Four categories. Her 2023 debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, will compete for album of the year while her hit Good Luck, Babe! is up for record and song of the year. Roan is also a contender for best new artist. Billboard confirmed the news that many suspected when SOTA left Roan out of a social media post congratulating their Grammy nominees. "Celebrating our 67th annual Grammy nominees!" the Instagram tile read. "We're beyond proud to congratulate @cocojones and @iamluckydaye on their nominations!" "What about Chappell?" was the first of many similar comments. Roan signed to SOTA, with Nick Bobetsky as her manager, in 2018. Her career took off soon after as she racked up milestones including her first Billboard Hot 100 top 10 (Good Luck, Babe!), a top five entry for Midwest Princess and record-breaking festival crowds. Most recently, Roan made her musical guest debut on Saturday Night Live, where she performed an unreleased country-leaning pop song titled The Giver. In an August interview with Music Business Worldwide, Bobetsky shared that the artist was "busy writing" new material.
