NewsOctober, 28 Sam Fender delays Newcastle pre-sale after bot attack
Sam Fender has pushed back a pre-sale for three dates on his forthcoming tour after what he described as a "sophisticated bot attack." The singer shared the news with fans through Instagram Stories. Promoters had told him, he wrote, that the Gigantic ticket site had been hit by a sophisticated bot attack affecting the St James' Park pre-sale. To make sure genuine fans get their tickets, the Newcastle pre-sale has been moved to 9.30 a.m. on Thursday 29 October. Pre-sale tickets for the Proper Massive stadium tour in the UK and Ireland opened on Wednesday 28 October for eligible fans. The St James' Park pre-sale, handled by Gigantic, was halted that morning, which is when Fender went public with the bot attack. The other dates sell their pre-sale tickets through Ticketmaster and are reported to be unaffected. The Mercury Prize winner begins the run at St James' Park in his home city of Newcastle on 3 June 2027. He then plays Edinburgh, Cardiff and Manchester, plus two nights at London's Wembley Stadium. General sale tickets for every show go on sale at 9.30 a.m. on Friday 30 October.
