NewsOctober, 28 Harry Styles invites engaged fans into new video
Harry Styles has given two fans a moment to remember: a couple who got engaged at one of his concerts now appear in his new music video. The clip for Coming Up Roses, out this week, shows Styles joining a beginner's ballroom dance class full of strangers. Among them are a waitress, a cowboy and a woman wearing a bridal gown. The video wraps up with a group photo, and that is where the two fans, Marivel and Frankie, turn up on screen. Styles has his arm around Marivel while the rest of the class gathers around them for the pose. After the video arrived, Marivel shared her excitement on Instagram, saying that meeting Styles and taking part in the Coming Up Roses video was beyond anything the pair had imagined. She thanked him for making their engagement even more special and for letting them be part of such a meaningful song, calling him the nicest person and an overall amazing human being. Her post also included a photo of herself with her fiancé and Styles on set, plus a picture of the flowers the Grammy winner sent the couple. The accompanying note, written in Styles' own hand, said he was honoured to have played a small part. The post came roughly two weeks after Marivel went on Instagram to share that Frankie had popped the question during one of the One Direction alum's October shows at Madison Square Garden. She described it as her first time seeing Styles and a night she would remember forever, posting a photo of Frankie on one knee and a clip of the couple up on the big screens. Thanking him for an amazing evening, she joked that he looked like her forever date.
