NewsJuly, 5 R Kelly: Notebook ended my marriageR Kelly has claimed watching The Notebook made him realise his marriage was over. The 45-year-old singer - who divorced his wife and former backing dancer Andrea Kelly in 2009 after 12 years of marriage - wrote in his autobiography Soulacoaster, The Diary of Me, that he and Andrea, who have three children together, had a rocky relationship, with rows about her not wanting to put her dancing career on hold to be a stay-at-home mum. But, according to MTV.com, he writes that it was not until he watched 2004 movie The Notebook - a love story starring Canadian actress Rachel McAdams and her then boyfriend Ryan Gosling - that he had an epiphany about his own love life. Kelly apparently writes: "As the film credits started to roll, I couldn't move," writes the singer. "I burst into tears. People walking past me patted me on the back, trying to console me. "The Notebook was beautiful, and I was crying because its hero and heroine had died together. But I was also crying because... my marriage had died. And there was nothing I could do to bring it back."
