NewsDecember, 7 JLS giveaway for cancer awarenessJLS have taken to the streets to spread some Christmas cheer and raise awareness of cancer in young people. Dressed in festive outfits, Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Oritse Williams and JB Gill handed out presents to young people on London's South Bank. The band is relaunching the JLS Foundation in collaboration with Cancer Research UK to coincide with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Originally launched in 2010, the Foundation's aim is to help fund Cancer Research UK's vital research, specifically into cancers that affect children, teenagers and young adults across the UK. JLS have been involved with numerous charities since their rise to fame in 2008 after being runners-up to Alexandra Burke on The X Factor. Each member is a patron of a charity, as Aston lends his support to Beatbullying, Marvin to Childline, JB to Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity, and Oritse to the National MS Society. The band have also released branded condoms with Durex to raise money for sexual health charities.
